Afternoon tea (aka high tea) is our must-have during working days. This time around we went for New Yorker Afternoon Tea experience at The Alchemy, a bar & lounge in The Starhill Dining. The mix of flavours of sweet and savoury was what enticed us to give this a try although we’re not a sweet tooth. Also, we just want to look "atas" sometimes. The luxurious ambiance was definitely something I enjoy especially the quiet and subtle music playing in the background.
The New Yorker Afternoon Tea menu which I don’t understand half of the words here. Free refills are available for coffee and tea although it’s not stated in the menu. Must state la so I can order more!
Our faves were the scones because it was served with amazingly aromatic lemon curd and cream. Apart from that, we enjoyed the sandwiches and mushroom pies. The cakes were okay but not to our liking. If I were to ever go back to The Alchemy for afternoon tea, it’s definitely not for the food but the ambiance and yeah…for looking "atas."
